There is something beautiful in telling a story with no words, in painting a picture with no paint, with traveling instantaneously, and connecting with other matter what culture, religion, beliefs, or socioeconomic background. Philosophers. poets, writers, and dreams call this human experience the sublime: being of the quality of greatness, whether physical, moral, intellectual, metaphysical, aesthetic, spiritual, or artistic. The term especially refers to a greatness beyond all possibility of calculation, measurement, or imitation.
Mime represents an entryway into the sublime, it is both the invitation and the activation of the imagination, of being physical on the metaphysical plain and dancing in the metaphysical right out in the open.
We are truly at a crossroads, where each one of us has the responsibility to radically declare and embody the change we want to see in the world. To allow for inspiration, to step into our courage, and to open up to love. There are many avenues to actively choose creativity, honor, compassion, forgiveness, dedication, and stillness so as to create and to reconnect with truth, spirit, and the greater forces at play.
One way to look at the current situation is that war is all around us, paradox, confusion, scarcity, alienation, and subjugation. We passively accept the "us vs them" , class warfare, war for profit, and the ever evasive lie that we must do it alone. We fight a war within ourselves and with everyone we pass on the street, a war for the right to exist. Yet there is so much beauty, so much magic, and sanctuary to be had, we must actively invite, moment to moment, with our every breath, our every thought, and action, we must accept love and call forth the imagination to move past our self created wars. We do this to create community, to invite into existence a culture of peace, to accept love which is the real power: a force so much greater then war.
What the 21st century is, is a global healing time. a time to address the horrors and shortfalls of selfish and ignorant human ambition to understand, create, and control. We took the easy way of dominance, of force, and selfishness. The consequences of our reactionary based consciousness is the fragmentation of self, the disintegration of oneness, the exploitation of forests, oceans, and our natural world, the greed of corporations, and the promotion of a self-obsessed material worshiping culture of war and bureaucracy. What is security, what is health, education, and wealth when it is manufactured in industries that send ripples of alienation and destruction across our planet. Guns, prison cells, sugar, corporate America, 2000 years of war, oil, domestic violence, slavery, genocide, ecocide, turning generations into mindless consumers, is what we proudly promote as progress. Who are we really, what do you support,
